I tell ya, I banked in on the luck of the Irish this year! A good friend of mine over at BradyCahoon.com tipped me off to an incredible domain hosting deal. As a result, I spent the equivalent of a night at the movies on my own personal chunk of the internet for an entire year. This is great, since I have several ideas I want to try out for creating a presence on the internet and this will provide me with the resources to do so.
Over the last little while, I have really become entranced by the internet in a whole new way. Granted, I’m probably a couple years behind, but I’m particularly excited about the possibilities that it holds for anyone who is willing to get their feet wet. I’m still very new at the whole thing, but I’m looking forward to learning more about it and extending my reach to new heights.

Haha, I thought this was some genius/ruthless marketing. A bench in a bus stop in the Netherlands displays your weight to the masses in hopes of encouraging/shaming you to go to the gym. I don’t know about you, but I’m not really given lasting motivation through public embarrassment. I’m sure it will have its effect on some people though.

My lovely wife, Hilary
Since starting this blog, my wife, Hilary, has been checking here nearly everyday. The other night, she looked at me and said “How come I’m not on your blog?”
I smiled and said, “Don’t worry, Hil, yours is coming up.” I really did intend on posting something about her and our wonderful life, but later that night I was listening to “The Instance” and they had a contest where you mention their podcast and you could win a free t-shirt. So, I casually ran over to my blog and made the post which I cleverly called “Podcasts: My True Love.” Oops. Check the comments if you’re curious how that went. Haha!
It was all in good fun though, and that is exactly what I love about Hilary. She is so fun to be around, and encourages me to be my best while still being me. On the 24th we will be celebrating 10 months since our wedding, and I havn’t been happier in my entire life. She is going to be such a great influence on our children. I love you, Hilary!!

- Recent Recording of “The Instance”
Back in early 2008, I got myself the hottest new thing on the market: the 16GB iPod touch. However, recently I have begun to fill my iPod with, not music, but podcasts.
What is so great about podcasts? First off, you can find one about ANYTHING that you are interested in. Seriously. You think I’m joking, but really, I’m serious. I just typed “gardening”, “fishing”, and “Italy” into the iTunes Store search bar and they all came back with quality podcasts.
What do I listen to, you ask? Well, since my personal interests include psychology, technology, and video games, my podcasts revolve around those topics. Perhaps the podcast most near and dear to my heart is none other than “The Instance,” a podcast about the most successful online game of all time, World of Warcraft. Their personality and knowledge of the game makes for an incredible show. This particular podcast made me really excited about getting into other podcasts.
Your question is, however, “What if I don’t like listening to people talk about a game that only geeks and recluses play?” First off, broaden your horizons and views on video games. Second, search iTunes for literally any topic you can think of and it’ll be there. Trust me.

Back in December ‘07, I got a great new video camera, and immediately I got some friends together to make a movie. I will be placing movies online as I get them on YouTube, but as of right now, I’ve got the trailer for our first movie: Saving Kenya.

This is so awesome. A shower door with color changing LED lights! The pixels on the glass cycle through the color pallette as you wash your disgusting, filthy body. Something as boring and everyday as a shower is about to be a whole lot cooler. Add in this sweet shower head and you’re in for an awesome cleansing experience; it changes from red to blue as your water goes from hot to cold.
